Answers to your questions...

At Midway Homes, we hear a lot of questions about the ready-to-move process and our custom-built homes. For your convenience, we’ve included the most common ones on this page. If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for here, please contact us and we’ll get back to you with an answer as soon as we can.

Q: How does my new ready-to-move home get moved from where it’s constructed to its final location?

A: Ready-to-move homes are moved by tractor-trailer from Midway Homes to the location of your choice. Once there, our construction crews will install your home on its new foundation. Your house will look as if it was built there!

Q: What's the longest distance a ready-to-move home can be transported?

A: The short answer: As far as it has to! If the site for your home is close to a Midway Homes location, it may be more cost effective to build the home on-site. Otherwise, Midway Homes will transport your new home as far as is necessary.

Q: When should I consider the site-built option?

A: You should consider the site-built option if your chosen site is close to a Midway Homes location and it is cost effective for contractors to work directly at the site. If you have chosen the custom-built option, and your designs call for a large house, it may also be necessary to build on-site. If you're unsure, the staff at your nearest Midway location will be happy to assist you in determining the best option.
